4-6 pandan leaves (screwpine leaves)
2 cups water or coconut milk (for a richer flavor)
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)

Instructions:
Rinse the Rice: Wash the jasmine rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps to remove excess starch and prevents the rice from becoming too sticky.
Prepare the Pandan Leaves:
If using fresh pandan leaves, wash them thoroughly.
